Jakarta – Pandemic COVID-19 requires good collaboration between all elements of society. As realization of our active participation, Toyota Indonesia today (06/08) donated 4 units of Kijang Innova ambulance, and together with the supply chain under TM Club donated 34,800 Face Mask to the Special Capital Region of Jakarta (DKI Jakarta). The donation was hand over by PT. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) President Director Warih Andang Tjahjono to DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
Also joining Head of DKI Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Office Andri Yansyah, Head of DKI Jakarta Health Office Widyastuti, TMMIN Vice President Director Edward Otto Kanter, and other TMMIN Board of Directors.
The made in Karawang Kijang Innova has been converted by one of automotive supply chain into an ambulance according to standards of medical procedures required. We also partnered with Vocational Training Centers (BLK) such as the Jakarta Job Training Center (PPKD) to produce the donated face masks.
This donation is part of our corporate social responsibility activities in handling COVID-19. From a total of 17 units of Kijang Innova Ambulance that we will donate to various institutions and local government such as Karawang and Bekasi, previously we donated 5 units of Kijang Innova Ambulance to the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia and 105,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) together with dealers, supply chains and affiliates. Then collaborate with PT. Serasi Autoraya (SERA) provide 68 units of car to support mobility of COVID-19 medical personnel in 15 major cities in Indonesia. We also provide direct assistance in the form of packages of staples and sanitation equipments needed to maintain personal hygiene to prevent transmission of COVID-19 such as hand sanitizers, cloth masks, hand washing antiseptic soap, portable hand washing equipment and other needs to community in the surrounding environment of Toyota Indonesia and Toyota dealers throughout Indonesia.
In addition, we collaborate with academics such as the University of Indonesia and several Toyota supply chains in the development of various Personal Protective Equipment such as flocked swabs, medical google, hazmat suits, bag valve masks, and face shields.
